I’ve been fighting the battle for so long going back to it getting off than back and so on… I’ve been so abused and hurt in my life and I’m triggered bad right now my mom always looking at me cause she told me she don’t want me to fall back to that dark place!! The fight so hard these feeling are out of control my panic attacks are worse than ever… I just want this pain to go away :/ it’s so hard now!! I feel alone lost and confused

Hi there. Welcome to 7 cups.
I'm sorry to read that you are struggling with triggers and anxiety, leading to urges to numb with drugs. I hope you were able to resist those urges or don't feel too bad if you didn't. Courage is getting back up and trying again. I know it is hard, but each time you quit, if only for a while, its a success.
The great thing is here you don't need to feel alone. There's support and friendship and people who have been down a similar path.
Good luck.
Just take it slow. One foot in front of the other. Every day you stay strong and clean is another success.. that's a huge win. Three years?! That's a *** of a stretch! You got this. Keep it up.

(I’m 20) I understand I just got arrested for weed. Mother was the one that was there when I got arrested. I kept telling myself everyday “I’ll stop soon.” I never stopped. Lied to myself, my family. I was already out on bond and now my life feels over. I completely understand. You stopped. You’re strong. You’re trying and fighting. Anything in life that’s worth having is worth fighting for. A happy sober life is the dream. Keep fighting! You got this! Anyone else reading this stay strong the light is closer than you think❤️

Your not alone I've been a meth addiction for 5 years and a drug addict for 15years I know exactly how you feel I don't know if your religious or not. But the only thing that helps me is prayer and alot of it iam still in active avuse and I want to quit and it's not going to be hard as soon as I turn my life over to God completely and that's the scary part but I happy to talk with you if u want..
Trust me when I say this change is the biggest and hardest part and it overwhelms me!! I am scared of change especially since I’m used to one thing and the moment I have to change something in my life scares me so much!!! I am PTSD bipolar depressive and the trauma I dealt with is so unreal I’m watching my own daughter relive the night mare I used to live and it has broke me too pieces! I was doing so good got clean going to church everything in my power to stay focus and clean and than her past began to hunt her the nightmares the sleepless nights the memories were unfolding and I know things but I didn’t know everything til a couple years ago the shame the guilt the pain I live with and she began using fentanyl when she was 16…. I’m a meth adduct as well fyi…. And I got her clean than after a year she relapsed she is in the streets she is only 20 I don’t see her I don’t talk to her cause I literally have to go find her and idk where she is most of the time it’s been so hard on me this past year the hurt I’m feeling I miss her so much and the relationship I’m in is crap I realize I’m back with a narcissist again and reliving verbal and emotional abuse the only difference is I’m clean dealing with this my anxiety worse than ever now I began having panic attacks and the stress and pain I feel is the worse and the urges to get the one *** numb my pain is all I want… I’m fight still it’s hard but I’m fighting!! Praying for you btw I even stopped going to church cause I just got mad that my daughter dealing with so much I can’t help he rn… I’ll pray for you things will get better but when your ready!! Sorry I just needed to vent today ugh

Your very lucky to have a mum that cares. If you've been clean for 3 years keep the momentum going and leave the meth alone.
If your sad and hurt now the drugs will only intensify those emotions - it's not a nice feeling.
