weed ruined my mental health
i’ve recently quit weed for about a month (i never used it regularly) but i had plenty of unpleasant experiences. i haven’t touched it for a while and i never had a dependence on it but i feel awful withdrawal symptoms. i randomly have panic attacks and won’t be able to sleep no matter how tired i am because i’m too scared of my dreams which have mostly been nightmares as of late, i get so scared to sleep because i feel out of control. i randomly dissociate/depersonalize and completely feel out of touch with reality or forget my existence (it feels like i’m living in a dream). i get extremely paranoid and get chills all the time and it just sucks so much. i feel like there’s the impending sense of doom and i cant escape it bc it always comes back at random times and i spend so much time searching up and researching what’s wrong with me and i don’t know how to fix it. it’s so annoying too because i never even smoked regularly, just a really bad experience and it messed me up so bad
@raspberryFan4595 Hi, how are you doing? I'm really sorry to hear that you are experiencing this after using weed. I can imagine how tough it must be to deal with these symptoms. I think it's important that you see a doctor if you are experiencing these symptoms for a long period of time. They can help you the best and can guide you in the best next steps! We are here for you always and I am thinking of you! 💛

The fact that you are aware is good. THC especially can cause horrible side effects. Delusions, personality issues etc... It is enomously more potent than the natural chemicals your body creates. Then it's stored in your body for a long time. Get help if you can, but your body needs to normalize from such an assault. I am horrified as to how it has been dumped on the population "legally" with such terrible regulation. Taking shortcuts to life with drug use just makes no sense to me. It doesn't resolve anything only creates more imbalances. But taking care of your body is very important. Go outside in nature and try positive music when these attacks come. There are other things, as well.
Thankful that you were able to figure out the root cause.
I had similar experiences with several partners who would often have unpleasant and even scary reactions. I've learned since that it can have various negative affects for certain people.
There is also the factor that with the legalization of cannabis there has also been more science on how to increase potency. Modern strains are often much higher than what would grow naturally, so that will have greater effects on people.
