Day 15: When God Seems Absent (Psalm 44)

In Psalm 44, the psalmist remembers God's faithfulness in the past but feels rejected now, and he boldly lays his complaints at God's feet. Paul later quotes this psalm in Romans 8, pointing to the love of God in Christ that nothing can separate us from. Today's step invited us to be honest about how we see God's role in our suffering.
Community discussion question:
Have you ever sensed a tension between knowing stories of God's past care and not feeling that it is true for you right now (1, 9)? How have you navigated that tension?

Yes, I often think God if you loved me, why are you letting this happen?
Why am I deserving of this?
Why do I only struggle?
In these moments I often ask other people to pray for me until my prayers seem authentic again 💛
