Day 2: Praying with Honesty and Directness (Psalm 4)

day-2_1793102698.jpg

Psalm 4 is a direct, honest prayer for relief, written by someone hurt by the words and actions of others. It ends with the psalmist lying down in peace, safe in God's care. Today's step invited us to be direct with God and to ask for fresh joy and rest.

Community discussion question:

The psalmist longs for God's presence and joy more than material prosperity (7-8). If you are suffering, what might longing for God's presence look like for you?

Share your reflections in the replies below. Whether you post a few words, a prayer, or simply read what others share, you are welcome here. Please be kind and supportive of one another.

@SoulfullyAButterfly

When I need God, I like to go and spend time in the adoration chapel in front of the real presence.

I like candles and music

And honesty 💛
