Day 8: When the Waters Rise (Psalm 69)

In Psalm 69, the psalmist feels like he is sinking, worn out from crying for help and scorned by others. Still, he asks God to rescue him and promises to praise him. Today's step invited us to bring our sinking feelings to God and to remember that Jesus knows abandonment too.

Community discussion question:

Have you felt abandoned or scorned by others in your suffering (20-21)? How does it feel to know that Jesus went through the same experiences?

Share your reflections in the replies below. Whether you post a few words, a prayer, or simply read what others share, you are welcome here. Please be kind and supportive of one another.

@SoulfullyAButterfly

I've often felt people want to be there for the good times, but are never to be seen in the dark times.

They promise they will be but selfishness takes over.

God however is a constant through it all 💛
