Day 16: With Jesus as He Forgives

day-16_1793201234.png

While being crucified and mocked, Jesus prays, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." Today's step invited us to stay with Jesus in his suffering and his forgiveness, and to consider where forgiveness is needed in our own lives.

Community discussion question:

In your own challenges, have you found that you need to forgive others who caused you pain, or that you need forgiveness yourself? How might that struggle draw you closer to Jesus in his agony?

Share your reflections in the replies below. Whether you post a few words, a prayer, or simply read what others share, you are welcome here. Please be kind and supportive of one another.

This post is part of the 20 Days with Jesus in His Suffering growth path on 7 Cups.

@SoulfullyAButterfly

I find forgiveness hard.

Because some things are unforgivable to me.

So for me it's a very personal journey, I often draw inspiration from the saints and what they've been through.

And I go before Jesus and I ask Him how does one forgive when it breaks your heart to do so?
