So I know God takes people for a reason but my 12 year old childhood dog is close to it and I’m scared of losing her like my grandpa. I’m not sure what to do. I wanna cry but im scared if I do I’ll never be able to stop.

@TheToeTickler2259 I’ve never lost someone i was really close to but my mom might end up in wheelchair because she has multiple sclerosis, and i just wanted to say that its normal and human to be sad and you its ok to cry. I also have a dog, he pretty young but I can’t imagine losing him. And if you’re worried at all,pray because it will probably help. And if your dog does pass just know that they loved you.

@TheToeTickler2259

cry ,let it all out ,your feelings ,your hurt isnt there because it wants to torment you ,it wants to be felt and leave

it is true that god does that

but it is also true that nature takes its course , from dust we came and to ust we shall return be it an elephant or a rat

this isnt god hurting you , this is just a step in life ,if you wish prey ad talk with god more about this

you may miss her but she might be in more pain than she lets own

just make sure her final days are worth it ,shower her with kindess and care ,show her you love her

and may you find strength in such a hard moment

@scorpionpolktanktree: I’ll try my best to but what makes it harder is knowing I have another dog that is really attached to her. And I just lost my grandpa.

@TheToeTickler2259I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your dog, and recently your grandfather.  Facing death is one of the hardest things in life.  We know its inevitable but it's so difficult. And Western society doesn't really help give us much help in how to grieve a loss.

I would encourage you to consider reading the Lament Psalms, which are really comforting.  I especially found Psalm 13 to be reassuring- that I'm part of an ancient tradition of people who let out our heart and share it with God without holding back, and also trust God at the same time.

I will trust in his unfailing love.  It's worth it.

@vowedmama- thank you so much, I’ll look into it, knowing death is a part of life is hard to accept but we all have to. ❤️
