I helped a local Dire Straits cover band a lot of years ago playing bass, Lead guitar and vocals was a friend through cycling. Bass players in particular set the rhythm other bad members play off, looking back my poor sense of timing (ADHD) combined with not being able to focus on both hand at the same time was bound to be an unmitigated disaster. Oddly I did 4 other equally forgettable gig with them before being replaced by someone with a modicum of talent that was also a Dire Straits fan,,,
