- How do you manage chronic pain or sensations you cannot control? Wow, Soul, that is a heavy question. Before my back surgery, I had to learn to accept what I could not change but do anything that could give me any type of relief.
- How do you believe that self-love and acceptance can help manage chronic pain? I never knew that self-love played a factor in helping manage pain.
Soul, what do you do?❤️

- How do you manage chronic pain or sensations you cannot control?
I believe acceptance is the only way to deal with it. When my skin hurts and I get irritated it gets worse so breathing exercises, staying calm and distraction help most.
- How do you believe that self love and acceptance can help manage chronic pain?
Self love gives me comfort and validates my pain without making me cling to it.
Wow good questions. There's not much of my body that doesn't hurt. It's just a matter of what will hurt the most that particular day.
- How do you manage chronic pain or sensations you cannot control?
Very high pain tolerance and getting used to it. So much depends on the cause, location and type of pain. I'd encourage anyone to see a pain management specialist and keep searching for one that can help.
When something is really bad, I manage it several ways. Huge +1 for tai chi and yoga. I can't do much yoga any longer but tai chi has been very good for me. Chiro didn't work. Acupuncture and acupressure did for awhile. Staying active helps. Keeping flexibility and strength becomes more important as we get older.
- How do you believe that self love and acceptance can help manage chronic pain?
Accepting that pain is a part of your life helps with becoming depressed or feeling defeated. Accepting our limitations and imperfections. Acceptance of the present is an important step of moving forward.
Self love helps because it allows us to care for ourselves. Take a break if needed or reach out for help when management isn't working anymore. Give ourselves a break when we hurt and and aren't as capable as we once were. It also gives us the strength to keep going when we might not want to.
Unintended, but much of this also relates to non-physical pain.
