I used to feel guilty for being an emotional person because people in my environment laughed about my sensitivity (like stopping the car when an animal was crossing the road or saying something kind to a dog or a cow). Today, I am fully okay with it and can completely ignore those who make fun out of me being emotional.

This is so true. I recall having a breakdown on a family dinner and I was so embarassed about it later. However, I knew it was beyond my control and I accepted it as a part of me.
