Don’t know what to do about college
I took a gap semester off of college and I have been actively trying to go back this coming semester. Classes start this 13th (real soon) and I just now was able to get my scholarship back earlier this week. I’ve been applying to housing and I haven’t heard much. My two options that I have right now are a lease for a split apartment for around 950 a month. However, I wouldn’t be able to move in until Thursday the 16th, so I don’t know what I’ll do or where I’ll stay until that move in date. They also have yet to send me the lease agreement. I also have an offer with 3 roommates for 1300 a month plus utilities, which I don’t think I’ll be able to afford. Both of these options aren’t exactly ideal and I really don’t know what to do. I’d be moving in super unexpectedly and very short notice which isn’t exactly fair to my parents or especially my girlfriend. I’d also have to quit my job on the spot. It might be better for me to take this semester off as well and work towards a cna license and more medical experience and then go back to college the following spring, but I’ve been really wanting to go back. I’m just kind of lost and stressed about this whole situation.

I am very sorry to respond only now but I am usually not active on the site in the weekends.
What you describe sounds very stressful indeed! May I ask if you have taken a decision already since your classes started today?
I was able to email my professors and inform them on my housing situation, but I’ve yet to hear about housing options except a more high end apartment. I really want to move back and attend class and see friends but I think it’d be selfish to just up and leave outa no where. It might not be the best decision either. I’ve been very torn

I can see that you want to do the right thing and not hurt anyone. How would it feel for you starting next spring with classes? It would give you time to arrange accommodation and let people know you're leaving.
Hello @Smithly918
Sounds like you've been in a very difficult situation. I hear that you've actively tried to address both your own need to resume college and your wish to not hurt or dissapoint anyone. But things have turned out in such a way that it seems one or the other.
Whatever decision you take or have taken, you've done your best under the circumstances. Perhaps your family and colleagues will understand and be supportive of your decision, and it could be that they will be able to cope just fine in your absence. Maybe you could communicate with them about it if you think that's a good idea. At the very least you know in your heart you thought a lot about them but you had to make a tough and urgent decision.
If you decided to drop the idea this semester, you tried your best to make it happen. Now that you know better you can plan better next semester and you could also be better equipped with more experience and a cna licence as you say.
Either way we understand you and how difficult this is!
