When I meet uncertainty with an inquiring mind that tries to see what each option might lead to, then I develop a basis for making a wise decision.

It is kinda interesting in the Big Book of AA, they are talking Fourth Step, how to do one, and they zoom in on fear as a big problem in and of itself, finding many problems, issues and offenses are fear based.

i agree, but failure is always killing everything i want to do because i don't want to mess up and look like a failure in front of people.
@KellyBrastMA Couldnt agree more. Fear has kept me away from many places I would otherwise want to go.
@KellyBrastMA I'm not afraid to fail, I don't think. My fears are very real but not in my control😥 I'm gonna have to think about this one🤔🤔

Fears do hold us back until we're brave enough to face them. But when they're beyond our control, there's not much we can do about it. The hope and courage is what should be the driving force in this scenario.

@Tinywhisper11 No one has the power to save every victim in the world, dear. Don't blame yourself for that. Even the strongest, healthiest man with the courage of a lion is just one man...there is only so much one man can do. To do more you need dedicated people working with you, & even then there are still limits as to what your group can achieve. Just work up enough courage to do the important things in your life. That is all that's necessary...if you do anything further, that's just gravy.

I envy those with the fortitude to face their fears.
Trying to face my fears has taught me that i am a coward.

Indeed...more people need to hear (read) this.
So many times in my life, I've had difficulty with working up the courage to attempt something. In the instances where I did, whether I succeeded or failed the risks were never as great as I imagined them to be. And I did succeed more often than not, overall.

@CerealKiller304 ok so I worked in a kitchen and I used to *gasp* when I was reloading the cereals I would mix them.
So then we had a little meeting and they were saying, she did it! She is the one MIXING the cereals, and the manager was saying, DO NOT mix the cereals and I was.... I can't believe I have lived long enough to be living in this conversation hahahahaha
