Grief concern
I am dealing with grief from loosing a parent I’m only young and I get that my friends would get it to a level. But all the important milestones like the passed one’s birthday, the anniversary of there death and holidays they have never reached out to me, these friends are very close to me and I thought maybe they just don’t remember, they asked me to hangout out the day before one of these special days and I reminded them that it was the anniversary of their passing so I would like to spend it with my family and no one texted on the day I just am I bit angry I don’t know if that’s right. It’s just I know if my friends parents passed away I would make sure at least to send a message checking in. I don’t know if I’m being extra or something. I know I won’t mention anything to them but I’m scared I will build up a resentment or anger towards them and that not fair on them cause I didn’t let them know how I’m feeling.
@fearlessOcean5083 I'm so sorry for your loss.
@fearlessOcean5083 I'm really sorry for your loss. I also lost a parent, and there's truly no consolation to that loss. My friends also were disappointing during this time. They didn't know how to support me, or didn't care enough. I know how much of a change it makes when they check in or show up when we need them. But, it doesn't always happen that way. This sucks. Try to communicate with new people as well, and if you can find a grief circle, that'll also help. Hopefully, things get better.
