How do I cope with being a failure in life?
Seriously how do I cope with the fact that I'm failing in life and that I'm not gonna have a bright future?? How do I cope with the fact that God has cursed me to be a failure? How do I cope with the fact that nobody gives one or two *** about how I feel?? How??
@Yurnuthere Sorry you’re feeling this way. It is so painful when we don’t see benefit for our efforts and that no one cares. There are two parts to our emotional pain. The pain from the situation itself and the pain from our story about the situation. You have a choice about the second pain. For instance is it true that nobody cares how you feel? I care. You can argue with God all you want. But that saying about one door closing and another opening is a way for you to let go of the closed door - unless you feel it comforting tugging on the door handle and beating on the door and insisting God unfairly shut it. I don’t mean to say you shouldn’t grieve your losses - you should, and with the deepest self compassion you can give to yourself. Because you’re in this relationship with you for life, so you best learn to be loving to yourself just as God would love you. Cursing yourself and your life are just adding to your pain and even worse preventing you from seeing the opportunities around you - the proverbial “other door” that God has opened for you. We all lose perspective when life doesn’t go our way. We all have to learn and re-learn how not to stay bogged down in our sorrow. Somehow staying in our stories which increases our pain is a habit that’s hard for us to break. But it’s our choice. Be good to yourself.
@Yurnuthere hi there. I am happy to meet you. You raised some questions
"how do I cope with the fact that I'm failing in life and that I'm not gonna have a bright future?? " What I hear when you say this is how do I cope with the fact that I believe I am failing in life and I believe I am not going to have a bright future?
This is possible to cope with those beliefs because those beliefs are based on appearances. All appearances can change. Nothing is permanent. It may be that you have not yet created the causes for what you consider a bright future to be. Describe a bright future as you envision it.
Describe success as you see it.
I really would like to help you cope but first please define how you see success in the present and the future.
