How to make Friends on 7 Cups?
Hi guys I'm new to 7 Cups. I'd love to make friends on this platform but there isn't an "add friend" feature from what I can tell so how can I "Make Friends" as it says in certain parts of the description for this platform?
By making friends I mean how can I regularly talk to the same people on this platform on a daily basis and maintain a long lasting friendship that way?

@Ali3600 hi there welcome to 7 Cups. One way members can develop friends is finding listener(s) that they enjoy talking to and have 1-1 chats.
Members cannot have chats with members 1-1 but members can meet in some of the support groups. and click on Groups to see the available rooms and it tells you how many people in each rom.
The forums like this thread are another way people can keep in touch with each other. Over to the upper left click no newbies, Topics, 7 Cups ETC.
Since offsite contact is against the guidelines, the above are the main ways to meet people regularly.
Hope you make some friends.
I don't know . I'm having a difficult time figuring out this app. I'm a newbie too. Im trying to learn to navigate in the groups as well. Good luck
Unfortunately it's impossible to message directly other members. It's a shame because it would have been much easier to connect with each other and make friendships. It's my biggest issue with this app because i wanted to find friends but it's so hard to communicate with others here. But forums are pretty great! And there's always some nice people that can answer you and give you some advice.
Hope you still will be able to find friends here :)
I'm also a newbie here and trying to figure out how this works.
I think it's a bummer that you can only send DMs to listeners, it's not easy to find like-minded friends and 7cups would be a perfect place for that. Group chats etc. is not exactly the same thing as having 1-on-1 conversations. But there are other platforms as well such as ***, Reddit etc. where you can also send DMs etc. There are several groups for people dealing with mental health issues there as well. Maybe try one of those?
@TheInsignificantOther For anyone wondering what *** stands for, it's a name of a very popular social media page. I wonder why it was censored? Like I said, I'm a newbie here so my apologies if I did something wrong 😕
@TheInsignificantOther the reason 7 Cups does not encourage offsite contact is because we have a strong commitment for the safety of members and listeners. Other sites do not have the same guidelines to protect its members. I think it is better to work within the guidelines here at 7 Cups where it is safer. On other sites you never know what people's intentions are.
