If time were a currency, what would your most valuable purchase be?
Would you spend it on quiet moments for yourself in a world that never pauses? A year learning something because you love it? Or on conversations that turn into lifelong memories?
Time is a currency in your hand and you get to decide what's worth it. So, what would you spend it on?
@BlueDarkAurora
I’d like to buy that someone’s time
@Mystery00 They must be someone really special to you. I hope you're able to spend lots of meaning time with them 💙
@BlueDarkAurora
They were.. and maybe that’s what makes their time feel even more valuable now.. because I can’t have it. It’s strange how the things we can’t buy even with all the time in the world are often the ones we’d spend everything on.
@Mystery00 so true, I can relate to this 💙

@BlueDarkAurora
Thank you… and I’m sorry you relate.. because as comforting as it is to be understood, it also aches to know someone else has felt this too!! No one should have to carry that kind of emptiness. Funny how something so personal can still feel strangely universal, isn’t it? *hugs back*
@BlueDarkAurora
I'm so conflicted between me-time and time with love ones hehe. O.0
Life is too short and unpredictable! Spending it with my love ones making countless lasting memories! 🧿💛
How about you? 🌻
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou aw well we do love ourselves too so we count as loved ones. You get two birds with one stone and it's such a sweet way to spend time, being with loved ones. I hope you always have such moments of joy and fun 💙
For me, if I can I'd like to buy some heavenly time hehe just to talk to someone who's there safe and sound ^-^ But if that's an invalid purchase, maybe I'll just spend it on creating memories that I can later share with them 🌻
@BlueDarkAurora
Honestly, I think I have to start bookmarking your questions! They are so introspective and framed very beautifully. It makes you really pause and look at your life through a softer more intentional lens.
If time were currency, I think my most valuable purchase would be deep, uninterrupted presence with the people I love, the kind of time that exists independent of distraction where watching the clock has no impact on fully being with someone.
Conversations that turn into laughter, confessions, silence that feels safe. I would spend it. on late night talks that bleed into the morning, and small moments that feel ordinary but become invaluable with hindsight.
I think I would also set some time aside for solitude, not loneliness, but quiet and calm. The type of quiet that allows you to hear and explore your own thoughts and to exist without external pressures of performing or producing. I believe both connection and stillness are necessary. Also, I think I would indulge a little on learning something just because it excites me and makes me feel alive and purposeful.
Once again, it has been a very long time since I have come across a question that has been able to help me reflect and truly think about what time means to me.
I'm curious, have there been any moments recently where you thought to yourself that this was time well spent?
@MellowMary76 Hii, so nice to see you :) and oh my god you're so sweet! Thank you so much for your kind words. I want to say the same about the way you respond, so thoughtful and beautifully phrased 💙
Spending time with loved ones definitely counts as a valuable purchase. I love how you said "silence that feels safe" that's such an important milestone to reach with someone. It's these small moments that become our most prized possessions. You write so beautifully.
I really appreciate that you included moments spent with yourself too. "I believe both connection and stillness are necessary" I completely agree. Stillness without any external influence can be so healing. Learning new things is one of the best ways to feel alive, it's like a gift we choose to give to ourselves simply because we want to ^-^
Thank you for such a thoughtful, beautiful response 💙
A time well spent for me hmm I love this question haha I'll have to think about it. You really made me pause and reflect :D I'm sure that looking back I'll find so many small moments so thank you for that.
@BlueDarkAurora
What a beautiful question 🥰💜
My greatest treasure and currency spent is being with my family, the memories, the conversations, the laughter, priceless 💕
@Amanda84 💙✨
That's amazing. It's truly a blessing to have a loving family and being able to spend such quality time with them feels like heaven on earth. I hope you always get to enjoy such sweet moments with your family 💗
@BlueDarkAurora I would like some heavenly time too 💖 otherwise I would like to spend my time exploring😁
@Tinywhisper11 hehe we are protesting to get some heavenly time 💖 I hope we always receive beautiful signs that they see us from up above. I hope you feel his love like a gentle hug that soothes your heart. You're not alone in this 💕
Oh and I hope you get to explore all that your heart longs for. I know all the famous ice cream spots are at the top of the list xD
@BlueDarkAurora time with my children.. being able to mentally, emotionally and financially afford to devote my full undivided attention to them. I'd pick this over and over and over
@BlueDarkAurora
If I understand your question correctly, I would buy some time travel tickets - to spend 15 minutes or an hour (or maybe a day?) seeing places, people or circumstances which are no longer now... Watching my life like a movie, or as if it belonged to someone else. Giving some extra fuel to my memories or checking if they were accurate 😉
Several cardboard boxes of handkerchiefs required for such a trip I could provide on my own 😉
If possible i would somehow try to stop my mom and convince them to don't marry my father
My life will be much better
@BlueDarkAurora If I could, I would not spend my time on myself — I’d give it to someone I love. I want to see them have more time in this world.
@azurePond This reminds me of 'Me Before You' but like 'you before me' ^-^ Love is such a beautiful things especially when it's unconditional like that 💙 When we truly care about someone, we'd do anything just to see them smile again and again. It's a beautiful intention 💖
@BlueDarkAurora Thank you — you phrased that so beautifully 💖
And "Me Before You" — is that the romcom? I haven’t watched it... honestly… I heard one of them dies and I refuse to watch romcoms without a happily ever after 😅
@azurePond Aw thanks 💖 and yep that's the one ^^ It's one of my favourites but I won't recommend it haha. The story is beautiful and you get attached and then they hit you with the emotions. I went in completely blind... Not a good idea xD I cried during the movie, after the movie and then to sleep lol
So I get what you're saying, kinda the same reason why I'm not watching anything devastating like "Grave of the fireflies". I don't hate my heart xD
@azurePond ah you are the nicest
