Are you as kind to yourself as you are to others? Learning to value yourself and giving yourself permission to not be perfect is a great step in finding a sense of peace.

@Gettingbettertoday I find that what happens in my mind is not the same as I treat people in words and deeds, but I am working on my mind. It is a work in progress.

@soulsings

I was raised to use all common pleasantries and I worked in retail for 10 years, which requires great restraint. I can appear friendly to someone when I would rather push them into traffic.

@Gettingbettertoday well you are very restrained.

I have deep seated anger that I am working to root out or at least not act on. I am trying to see something likable in everyone but that is not always possible or easy, but I keep trying in my mind anyway.

Have you considered any kind of anger management therapy?

@soulsings

No I have not. My therapist has not suggested it either.
