Don't allow myself or my environment to be physically and emotionally manipulated by others! Stop, recognize and don't respond to what others are intentionally doing in and to my life. Do not allow anyone to mess with my mind, my environment or my emotions. If I do, IT WILL CAUSE ME GREAT heartache and disrespect from those I care most about. It will negatively change the direction of my life and impact my family relationships forever! Though time can heal somethings, other things, like family relationships, can never truly be the same again!
Forgiveness will be a hard thing to reach but must occur for me to move on. Living with and around those who deny being a part of gaslighting my life is difficult! It's the "big secret" to each people who knew what they were doing. I wish I had figured out what was happening and responded differently!
It is what it is! Fool me once, shame on you! Fool me twice shame on me! I can't change the past, but I can move forward, recognizing and choosing differently from this point on!
MOST IMPORTANTLY --- cherish your older relatives, i.e. grandparents, father, mother, etc. and enjoy them while they are still on the planet. Also, don't waste time pursuing meaningless relationships with men who aren't worth the trouble. Learn to differentiate between worthwhile relationships and toxic ones. Completely sever all ties with that one "friend" who is a backstabbing narcissist, it will save you years of heartache.

I would give myself a hug, probably also cry and then maybe hit them... I'd like them to know that it will get better and remind that you can't change the past, but you can heal from it. I'd also tell them that I found friends that accept us and don't judge us. Mum got help with her alcoholism and now you are almost like best friends. I'd say don't try to run from your past, face it now because it would have been much easier to me. My younger self always had an idea that I deserved everything that happened. Now I'd say that we didn't deserve it, we're not a bad people and there's people who love us and wants us to success and that's what we did and will do in the future also. But first we need to heal.
