My childhood

Going to the beach. I live near the coast (3ish hr drive), but id like to not have that memory just to experience it again as an adult.

Hmmmmm so....It would be those six days in the exam hall with him....us again as an exam partner. I'd watch him walk in late every single morning without a trace of panic, wearing that same effortless smile as if time had never been chasing him. I'd watch the way he walked, the way he pulled out his chair, the way he carefully read every question before writing a single answer. The tiny dots he'd make on the question paper, the way he'd circle every answer first and only fill the OMR at the very end, as if he had his own little ritual. I'd listen to his voice all over again, hear him say my name for the first time, watch his eyes when he smiled, watch his. Stupid smile again and again and listen to him talk about the smallest things as if we had all the time in the world. I'd let myself notice every little detail again, because I never realized my heart was quietly collecting them one by one. If I could go back, I wouldn't change a single thing. I'd just stay in those moments a little longer. I'd laugh a little more, look at him a little longer, and hold on to those conversations before they became memories. But the saddest part is that, while those days became unforgettable to me, they were probably just six ordinary exams to everyone else including him. But to me, they were the beginning of a feeling I had never known before. My first crush. My first time wondering how someone I had only known for six days could leave behind memories that still feel more alive than so many years I've already lived. If I could experience one moment for the first time again, it wouldn't be some grand love story. It would simply be sitting beside him, completely unaware that someone I had only just met was quietly becoming a memory I'd carry long after the exams were over.
