Sensitive
I don't know why but i ve been feeling more sensitive lately every little thing someone says to me triggers me especially from my parents if my dad says he doesn't like my heels or if mom tells me i should work more on school and try harder and use less screen time if someone asks about how i m doing in school or compares me to my sister i feel sad or down those things never bothered me before so i don't know why they do now and i know this is not a healthy response and instead of that i should work on myself better but u wonder why i became so sensitive
@wisteria28
That’s a good question: How we can be so sensitive at one point in time and not so at another? I’m listening to music right now, and I think that has something to do with my sensitivity levels.
One thing I am fairly sure of ... if I hold onto certain feelings, opinions, and thoughts “past their expiration dates” I tend to feel lousy. I hope this helps—and it’s always good to hear from you!
Thank you it has been a while since i last wrote something i hesitated since i was becoming self conscious thinking what if they get annoyed by my constant complaints and if it's too much so i hesitated for a long time it's relieving to know it's okay 🤍
@wisteria28
It’s definitely okay to hear whatever you have to say—PLEASE say it!
I have not forgotten about you. I know you are still in classes, or maybe they are done?
I don't know but parents could be overprotective sometimes they could right sometimes but they could be wrong also but time will prove they are right or wrong I will say thatyes people try to give their opinions and it could be frustrating but I can't give any solution I will say don't fight with them respect them and work on yourself
It is very frustrating especially when you are still trying to figure things out everything seems to rush by and you are just there walking at slow pace it feels like i m missing out sometimes and i understand everyone's worry and how they want to rush me but i just can't i m tired
@wisteria28 hey! If you want I'm here to talk I have some experiences so I can help you, feel free to text;)
I would be delighted to can i text you ?
@wisteria28 ofc!
Ive been feeling similar. You're not alone there, I'm not sure why it's happening to me either
@wisteria28
Hi!
How are you? Are your classes finally finished? What’s up for the rest of your summer?
Hello i ve been well thank you yes i am done with my classes though i did not achieve the grades i was hoping for i d say it's not that bad as for my summer well there was nothing new just chilling and relaxing i guess thanks for asking how have you been doing 😊?
@wisteria28
Hi!
I’m glad your classes are over … and even though your grades were not what you had hoped for, you have a very balanced approach!
“Chilling and relaxing” sounds like an excellent plan! (And you deserve it too!)
Would it be okay if we continued our conversation in a Pen Pal thread? If you are agreeable, I started one for us (it is via “Community” - “Peer Groups” - “Pen Pals” - … and look for our post with our usernames in the title).
@wisteria28
It is completely okay to feel this way sometimes; those emotions can sneak up on us when we least expect them. I have been in similar situations where others said or did things that made me feel low. What helped me was realizing that sometimes people project their insecurities onto us, even when they do not mean to. It still hurts, though, especially when it feels like they are reminding or telling us how we should feel about moments that could be negative or unpleasant. This is a reflection of what others feel. Don't take it personally. Just know that those comments or visits do not define you. You deserve peace, and it is okay to create distance when you need to protect your energy.
@wisteria28 I understand that it is hard to be compared to others at times. Do you feel especially triggered at certain times, or is the sensitivity more general?
believe it is at certain times especially when i m compared to someone or if i m feeling really well about something only for someone to make me feel low by telling me it's not beautiful or something like that you know when you feel pretty and someone tells you that look doesn't suit you or something like that
@wisteria28
I hear the pain you’re carrying, and I want you to know I relate. I’ve been in a place where the pressure at work felt unbearable. It seemed like no matter how hard I tried, I was misunderstood, criticized, or judged even for doing things well. That kind of stress doesn’t just stay at work; it seeps into your soul.
But something shifted for me. I reached a point where I stopped carrying it all alone. I found a way to release the weight I was holding, all the tension, the judgment, the dirty looks, the pressure to prove myself. And in that release, something powerful happened:
I started to feel unbothered. Protected. Grounded. I realized I didn’t need their approval anymore. I wasn’t alone. And I wasn’t defined by anyone’s opinions or expectations.
Now, I feel calm inside, like no one at work can truly hurt me anymore. Their judgment doesn’t reach me. I know my own heart, and I hold on to that truth more than anything anyone else can say or assume. I feel stronger, safer, and even loved in a way that doesn’t depend on them.
I just want you to know, it can get lighter. You're not crazy for feeling overwhelmed, and you're not weak for being sensitive. There is peace waiting for you, too. And you are already on your way, just by speaking up and reaching out.
Oh how i long to experience that feeling of peace and of being loved you are lucky i m happy it turned out well for you by not carrying ut alone do you mean meeting someone special?since i guess i m that age i guess i can't help but daydream about someone like that who loves you and support unconditionally it is quite silly though 😊
Thank you everyone here is so nice i m quite sensitive to other feelings i was offline for a time because i was wondering if posting too much would make me look annoying or always complaining but hearing you is relieving thank you🤍🤍🤍
