The only person who can change is you, is you.
We live in a world where instant gratification is king. Social media makes you want those quick likes and comments; games are made in the mind of short rewards to guide you.
And with this quick, impulsive world we live in, sometimes, when we are down or feeling like we are not who we want to be, we look for a quick, simple solution.
But in reality, the only person who can change you is within. You must control your thoughts, emotions, and actions and train yourself to be whatever you want.
As such, you create your limits with words like I don't, I can't, it's too hard, etc... No therapist or pill can make you say otherwise.
In other words, exterior help can treat symptoms, but your mind is the cure. Believe in yourself, push yourself, keep trying when you fail, and know one crucial fact.
You are alive and breathing, and there is a future where you are the person you have always wanted to be. That person is waiting for you to change because the choice you make now, that person depends on you.
So get out there and take on the world :)
Or at least, keep working on it, you will get there :P
@Urbartender such a sweet encouraging message ❤ thankyou ❤❤
@Urbartender
Thank you for the encouraging advice.
@Urbartender
Thank you for this post. I very much agree on "the only person who can change you is within". We try to change others, make them how we want them to be and fail over and over again and it becomes frustrating. Accepting how people are makes life so much easier.

True Words. But how?
@NotAllHere713
Something that helped me to change my negative self talk was to use positive affirmations and listen to gratitude meditations. It was a start. What could you start with?
@amiablePeace77
I have tried positive affirmations. The one I have been focusing on is "I am enough." I also try to remember this quote, " The past cannot be changed, but the future is whatever you want it to be." One of my main problems is that I can't forget/escape the past, therefore I struggle with moving forward. Thank you for reaching out.

I'm sorry that you have a hard time to let go of your past and move forward. We are here to listen to you and I hope you find some kind of relief in a not to far future. If you feel that your struggles are getting to a point where you are not able to manage them anymore it might be worthwhile to consider talking to a therapist about it.
