@wisteria28

Its depends on what you yourself want from the therapy session, it's about finding a fit that is correct for you, some of us want them to simply listen while others want advice and suggestions and things mirrored back. Therapy is vitally important for healing, let your therayk ow what you'd like to gain from the sessions, wishing you the best of luck 💕💜

I have been in therapy for years. I love it. It is important to find a therapist that is able to provide what you need. I think it’s worth it, I can feel when I miss an appointment. ❤️

i don’t know if it’s just me but i did therapy for a few sessions and just felt like a was being forced into talking but that might have just been my therapist so i think if you want to do it start with single sessions with different therapist and see which one you enjoy most and if it feels right for you then you should do it!

It all depends on you and your therapist. I’ve gone to tonnnns social workers and therapists; and they were all very very different. Currently I have a therapist that is extremely friendly, hugs me and sits by my side to show me a video of her friends. She makes me feel comfortable, but she’s not for everyone and that is okay. You might not meet YOUR therapist the first time; I didn’t at least. It takes time to find someone that fits your vibe and understands how to best help you individually. Before you go to a therapist read there bio, see if you would feel comfortable around them (and make sure they are educated on certain topics you struggle with (e.g. specialized in depression ext.) But even if you get lucky the first time or you finally find your therapist that fits you best, it takes YOU to really change. They can guide you though it all, hear you, give advice, but only you can decide what to do with that. My therapist right now likes to give me “homework”, and I do it, it really helps us build off each session. A good therapist hears you, validates you AND challenges you in new ways. There is anyways SOMETHING that needs to be worked on; no one is perfect.. Therapy is not for “crazy” people, it’s for everyone. I use to go 3 times a week and now I go every 2 weeks; I’ve grown a lot though the years though therapy but not necessarily because of therapy, but because of my desire to change. I also think it’s important to note you don’t have to be in talk therapy, search different types of therapy- there is A TON.

I hope you find your person, or, your own type of therapy 🌷🤍
