What are low costing hobbies that helped?
Getting into a new hobby is a great way to take care of yourself as well as do something fun! And most if not all of these are free or extremely affordable.
-Journaling. If you have tried this already and have felt it doesn't work. Maybe look at this list and see if here is a journaling technique that is more your style! https://vanillapapers.net/2020/08/25/journaling-techniques/
-Reading
Whether you like reading novels, graphic novels, poetry, or audiobooks libraries typically have a variety of these and for free! Getting a library card is pretty easy and many now have apps that you can link to your library card so you can read e books or listen to audiobooks!
-crafting in general
I know this is pretty broad but places like Pinterest or Google have millions of ideas, and many many affordable or free ideas to create something. Make a purse out of an old tee shirt, make candles, create a stamp, try origami and plenty of others you can do with stuff you already have or things you can by for cheap. If you have a little bit of a budget for this, the Dollar Tree has so many art and craft supplies or five below has some nice books or craft supplies for ideas!
-coloring!
Go back to your childhood days and bust out a coloring book and some crayons/colored pencils. Again the dollar store has plenty that is really affordable or if you already have little ones around you, maybe invite them to color with you!
-learn something new!
There are so many ways to learn something new online or the library also has events for learning history or hot make a craft. But if you are someone that just loves to learn something random and cool, here is a link that can give you completely random wikipedia pages. I have done this before and it's genuinely so fun once you find a page that intrigues you.
I hope this helps! Good luck hobbying!
Thank you so much for sparing your time to write this much of text. You gave me really good idea what to do it made me rember that i have coloring book i almost forgot that i have it. The idea of learning random stuff also sounds really fun and the journaling part ill check the website to see what kind of stuff i could journal. Once again thank you and im glad that you comented this 😊
Writing, and painting if you can be very minimalistic about it. Reading, if you can use Kindle or second hand book shops. Libraries and art galleries if you have access to. Online Subscriptions are great and can be very affordable if you want to see theatre, opera, ballet and festival movies online.
I am a big advocate of outdoor activities. One of my favorite hobbies Is hiking. Invest in a good pair of waterproof hiking boots and you can go so many amazing places and see breath-taking views. You can go by yourself, which I do all the time, and take my journal. When I get to the top of a mountain or a cliff or just a beautiful spot by a stream, I will journal and meditate. It gets you out in the Sun which increases seratonin levels in your brain. Work your way up to strenuous hikes where you really get your heart rate up for a period of time, which is also excellent for your mental health because it produces endorphins. I have seen so many stunning views. I either take photos or draw the scenery (2more hobbies to enjoy along the way)
