How do you like to cook?
Ever since I moved out of my parents home I learned to cook by eating my "mistakes." lol So at whatever point you are at grill, hotplate, microwave or oven:
- What is your most used method of cooking food?

@soulsings I am not sure I have a favorite but here are some ways I use.
On the stovetop I make stirfry veggies or soup, in the countertop oven I make caseroles and healthy desserts
For heating up the soup since I make many days supply, I use the microwave.
When I first started cooking I could do a one pot meal on a hot plate.
Hope to hear from you.
@soulsings
I learned to cook for my son and myself in a small room on a hot plate, only out of necessity.
My preferred means is a gas stove which is rare in my area. I learned to cook on an electric stove when we moved here. I had lots of burned-up food to the trash.🤣
Efficiently.
Roasting on a sheet pan is my favorite way to cook vegetables. It doesn't take much time or energy & always tastes good. It yields more interesting results than steaming, though occasionally I do that too.
What I often use is the old bachelor cooking method: Make a large amount of something, then divide & package it, then put the packed portions in the freezer. I always do this whenever I make a soup or stew. Take two out of the freezer & put 'em in the fridge to defrost. It's great for those days when you don't have enough energy to cook something...all you need to do is microwave it (or if you're like me, reheat it in a pot or the oven), & you have a meal.
@soulsings Great question! Stir fry and Sautee is my method. I am similar to you...I like to make meals that stretch and save time. You've just inspired me to go back to my soup-making methods (which I neglected for a few months). Thanks for sharing!
@Redirecting I hardly made any soups over the summer with all the hot weather. A bowl of soup is so comforting with cooler weather approaching.
That's so understandable. I hope you have a pleasant season change. I'm currently below the equator, so here comes the heat . Stay well!
@soulsings
Lol soul, some mistakes can be quite tasty but I remember some from when I was young and still learning too cook - boy, they were not so good at all! 😀
My favorite cooking way is a wok, love stirr fries or a toaster oven to do small amounts of baked sweet potatoes or so.
@soulsings My most used method is my car.... because I can't cook and I'm lazy so I pick up food 😂
I actually have 2. I use a smoker and I use a Blackstone griddle.
Love to slow smoke briskets...use to do competitions with it. Now only doing it at home for myself and friends.
The blackstone griddle for breakfasts, smash burgers, fajitas, stirfry and more.
Cooking is passion of mine.
