It is the weekend and sometimes unusual foods can help us ease into the weekend.

  • What kinds of cheese do you like?
  • What do you make with them?

Have a great weekend!

@soulsings I'm like everyone else and like a lot of the common cheeses: mozzarella, American, cheddar, pepper jack, etc. I really love goat cheese too! I love to put it on crackers! Mac and cheese is my favorite though! Did you know that it's actually normal for humans to be lactose intolerant? People who can tolerate it are the odd ones!

@fruityPond7887 I am not sure if lactose intolerant but I often take lactaid or some supplement.

@welcomingserenity

You're so right welcomingserenity, my favorite is parmesan (the only cheese I still keep eating occasionally, stopped eating cheese some time ago). What is your favorite for pasta?

Thank you Soul, have a great weekend as well.

I like my cheese on pasta, I've never tried other varieties of cheese except sliced and small triangle ones 😅

@ThoughtsBubbleExpress sounds good.

I take flat bread (chapattis or tortillas) and put in cast iron pan and add shredded mozzarella or cheddar and cooked onions and mushrooms and to with more cheese.

Surprisingly I never tasted mushrooms as well, since no one eats them in my house

@ThoughtsBubbleExpress they have an earthy flavor and I find they go well in stir fry veggies.

@ThoughtsBubbleExpress the most plain tasting mushrooms are white mushrooms. I wash them off but not soak them and slice them to 1/8 inch thick 32MM and sautee them in oil for 5 minutes at medium heat stirring occasionally.

The most common ones I've seen are those white mushrooms, many recipes is using them, what about truffles? Is it a kind of mushroom as well?

Camembert and Bocconcini.

Camembert, spread on toast. Bocconcini, alone or in Caprese salad.

They are at both ends of the strength spectrum: mature Camembert is very strong, while Bocconcini have a very delicate taste.

@soulsings

  • What kinds of cheese do you like? I used to love all hard cheeses with a strong flavor like parmesan or very old gouda. A good camembert is very nice too. Years ago I gave up eating cheese because I found it healthier for my body, I still eat occasionally parmesan and a homemade "cheese".
  • What do you make with them? Homemade ancient grain bread or on quinoa pasta.

Personally.. I don't like cheese unless it's melted cheddar or mozzarella in pasta, pizza or like, a cheese toastie :)

@mwood5 I only like melted cheese. I am not one to eat a big hunk of cheese. To me it is good on something else like flat bread or a dinner meal

@soulsings

I like mostly all kind of cheese. But the best for me are the quick melt version hehe. I'd like making cheese sticks or put them in spagetti's.

@Jewelmoon17

I remember when I was young we used to make camembert cheese sticks, it was a kind of trend in those days. We all went crazy for them.
