What are you most looking forward to this year?
Something I look forward to in the new year is to organize certain things differently irl and to accept that sometimes not all I want to do can be done on that day. This takes pressure out of the day and consequently decreases stress on body and mind. Some things that help me now to manage my day are:
Making a to-do-list to with priority settings to manage my time well
Leaving a time slot free for things which can pop up unexpectedly
Setting time aside for brief breathing practises
When I work at the computer I often take a short break after usually 1 hour, often earlier

The exception is in the middle o winter, I am looking forward to spring!

I hear you, spring is such a beautiful time and feeling the warmer temperatures is great after a cold winter.
@amiablePeace77 I am looking forward to all of the opportunities that could potentially come out of this year! I am going to try and be optimistic no matter what happens and practice gratitude because I am lucky no matter what happens. ❤️
@fruityPond7887 you have a lot of talents some of which you may not have considered so when you have time feel free to explore creative things you may not feel you have talent in.
@soulsings That’s so true! Thank you for the reminder 💗 I think we tend to forget that we don’t have to be good at something to have fun at doing it!
@fruityPond7887 yes in our competitive society there is a strong expectation to be the best. Only one person can be the best so the rest of us just need to accept the activity as something to help and heal ourselves.
@soulsings You got that right! I always wanted to get into painting, but I feel that if I'm not doing something "perfectly" or the way it's supposed to be done, that I'm not doing it right. I need to break that mindset and just do it to have fun!
@fruityPond7887 I did that and I did not judge my first tries, 2nd tries, 3rd tries and I learned how an artist sees colors. The world is really only colors. Look carefully and you can see that shadows are not shadows they are a darker shade of a color. It is a new way to see the world.
@soulsings It sounds like such a beautiful way to see the world! It definitely would take me time to train myself to see it that way, but maybe I could get into it! So many beautiful colors to play with 🌈
@fruityPond7887 it is unique because we so much are invested in believing the world is the way we see it. But even how we see it is subject to change.
@soulsings Yes! I also think it's so cool how each person will see the world a little differently! ❤️
@fruityPond7887 yes I agree. Sometimes I take off my "dark glasses" and see how wonderful the world is.
My sister's wedding is in a couple of months. I'm looking forward to it. Looking for an outfit for this occasion. Found many nice options from Princessly. Already have several dresses from them. If anyone would like to share your favorite shops, please. I'm open to recommendations.

I am looking forward to potentially being able to get a job. I have to wait a bit before I can try applying, but hopefully I'll be able to find one soon.
I want to be able to afford to see a therapist. Even though the thought of seeing one freaks me out lol

That's so sweet! I haven't seen my best friend for over 2 years but hope she can attend my wedding in August. I am super excited and there are so many things to do. Fortunately, I have already chosen the dress - I like unique and unusual details so I chose a vintage dress. I want my wedding day to be special and I am sure it will be!
