Free online EMDR
A therapist told me today about this website where you can do EMDR treatment on your own without a therapist:
EMDR Tool
It tells you how to go about EMDR in easy steps, and there are videos that explain further. EMDR, they say, can help with:
- PTSD
- Social/General Anxiety
- Depression/Hopelessness
- Low Movitation [sic]
- Self Esteem Issues
- Eating Disorders
- Jealousy
- And More!
I haven't tried it myself for real, but it looks professionally done. It doesn't ask for personal information, and it doesn't contain advertising. It seems to be based in Canada, and it says it was developed by therapists, but apart from that I don't know who's behind it.
It seems to me therapists at 7 Cups might be also able to use this as an enhancement to online therapy.
i've tried this out several times after my old therapist taught me how to do EMDR and we did a session of it together, it works really well!

Hi!
Well this is interesting! I've never seen anything like it - thanks for the share!
Just had a google and I thought I'd mention that it's actually not from any therapists -
https://www.reddit.com/r/InternetIsBeautiful/comments/52syh1/a_friend_and_i_developed_a_simple_online_emdr/
There's also a disclaimer here -
The dangers of doing EMDR alone. Thanks to the many users who have informed me of the potential dangers of doing EMDR without the assistance of a medical professional. I have updated the website with a disclaimer that clearly states that users should not attempt EMDR without first discussing it with a medical professional. However, it is possible to utilize this site is a tool both in and out of therapy if informed discussions are had with those responsible for your medical care. I also wrote a little bit about this in the about section, and I plan to flesh that out some more when I get a chance.
Hope that's okay to share
The one I linked to says it is made by therapists. The one you found on reddit doesn't seem to be (and, indeed, it's only one of many out there).
I checked with a therapist who uses EMDR before I posted here, but I plan to mention it to another EMDR specialist tomorrow, and if I learn anything more about possible risks I'll post here again.

Thanks! I'm curious - where does it say it's made by therapists?
The headline on the home page, beneath the blue menu bar, is:
Made By Therapists – Built For Everyone! Overcome Anxiety, Depression, and More Right At Home!

The original link in this thread is not working now, but meanwhile I wrote a new EMDR tool, in collaboration with some therapists who are experienced using EMDR. For more information, see: How to: Use EMDR
@RarelyCharlie Try getting in touch with Dr. Antonio D'Costa. He provides free/discounted EMDR sessions.
