Trauma Chatroom
I had an informative session in the Trauma Chatroom today. I got names of books I could read, I realised the need for boundaries and most importantly, I could listen to other people share their stories.
I also learnt how some of them coped with their situation and how you need to put in the hard work. I am a bit apprehensive though if my story will have a happy ending, considering that many were still struggling with trauma despite working on it for years.

It is good to know you had great time in the trauma support room .
Your apprehensions are valid, it does feel so concerning that if people who are already putting in the work are still dealing with trauma, when will I ever be free from it.
I think trauma ,or any mental health condition for that matter is person specific , everyone has different experiences, different kinds of coping mechanisms, different support systems and different resilience and will power also , the magnitude of these amongst the many other factors I feel is different too .
So comparing with someone else's journey of healing can be deterring .
I would only say that you are doing great by seeking support, offering support , sharing experiences , talking about your trauma, looking around for coping mechanisms. You are doing a fab job at it and this is YOUR healing journey , you are allowed your time and can be at your pace through this journey.
We don't know if it's happy ending or not , but a happier another day than today ? Certainly yes !
Sending you strength to cope with your trauma 🤍
