Traumatic Experiences Community Daily CheckIn - Friday 21st April 2017
It's 3.28am here in the UK, and yes, sleep is problematic tonight but hey, I decided I would set this up for you guys, and then take myself back to bed knowing, I had achieved one good thing, putting into place, your space to let us know how you're doing
How about y'all? How are you all doing? What is the one good thing you achieved these past few days? I hope today turns out to be a good day for you all, and a better one than perhaps some of you had yesterday. What are your plans as the weekend fast approaches? Any plans to meet up with friends, attending some event, playing some sport, treating yourself to some new clothes, music? I hope you have a great day today for you deserve that.
Healing from trauma, is tough work and so this space is for you to share whats happening in your world, how your healing process is doing, whats happening in your life, whether good, bad or inbetween. What positives have been happening for you lately, what achievements do you feel you have attained recently?
Please check in and let us know how you are doing. :)

I have some homework to get done, but there's not too much due today, so I've mostly been working on other stuff. My bad times aren't as bad anymore, or as long-lasting. And I know that can change in an instant, but yesterday started off very "why me", but I went to work, ate kinda healthy (lots of sodium but otherwise healthy), and picked up some salads and fruit smoothies last night. I also went for a 3km walk after work yesterday. I've done a bit of cleaning today and plan to go for the same walk I did yesterday once I get half my assignments done that are due today. I've basically just been kinda average lately. Not exactly happy, but not exactly in a bad place either. 🤷🏼♀️
I'm seriously so happy right now I'm crying. I just got a grade back in my psych class, and it was for a response paper and I have such a hard time with that kind of writing and the day I wrote that one I basically completely broke down and was crying and panicking all day because I knew I needed to get it turned in to maintain a decent grade but I couldn't figure out how to cite something and then I ended up writing it in about 45mins by the time I calmed down enough to do anything. It wasn't a long enough paper, but I didn't really care about that because I could still do well enough with it being too short, and I added in extra articles hoping for the 5pts extra credit if I cited them right. But I got 51/50pts, and in her comments she said, "...it is so well written and nicely formatted. Despite you cutting it short, it definitely looks like a graduate-school-quality paper.", and I'm seriously just sitting here crying now. I also couldn't care less that this whole post is basically one giant run-on sentence, because I just needed to share that with someone and I don't have anyone else to share that with because nobody else would care or understand how difficult it was to pull myself back enough to get that paper done.
@BeeLeigh Wow! That's so great! I'm happy for you! You must be super smart!! Congratulations!! It's so cool to ace papers and do great!! Yay YOU!!!!!! :)
@BeeLeigh hey Bee, well done on getting such a great score and for struggling to get this done, which you did. It may not have been done in the way you wished or had planned for it to be done, but look at what a massive achievement this has been for you. You should be so proud of yourself for having got such a great grade. Congrats Bee
