Hello Everyone and welcome to a New Day and a New Season! That's right folks, we just passed the Spring Equinox! In my culture, this signifies the return of Odinn/ the return of The Sun to the northern lands, bringing new life to what has been sleeping. The trees are beginning to bud, soon there will be foliage again here, Birds from far away return. I was distracted by 3 Crane's flying overhead yesterday (very strange sound if you have never heard it). New life is everywhere! My Cat Lagertha (One whom weaves a web of protection) finally broke her bubble and began having her new litter last nite! Three so far I think, hard to tell as it's kind of dark in the box we set up for her and it's kind of like a wiggly blob of fur and babies in there lol. For those of us in the north it is literally a warm wind and brighter day that brings new life after a long cold winter. For those in the South things are cooling off and growing a bit dim. Time to hunker down and get indoor work done for the season, enjoy a break from the Sun, "Nothing gold can stay Pony Boy". This Seasonal changes can bring new hope and new opportunity. They remind us of the cyclic nature of the universe. Whether transitioning into spring or fall it always marks change. How will you use this new day?

Pop in and say hi, share your hopes and dreams, or worries for the new season. The world is yours and so is this space, use it as you see fit. smiley

@Raveninthelabrynth

Thank you for your positivity! This is exactly what I needed today as I'm feeling utterly sh*t. Ive been suffering from my back for... i dont even know anymore! Too long anyway! And nobody is able to give me any real answers. I've just been given pain meds and told to see a physio and it feel like my pain was totally invalidated today, like i was told to toughen up and get over it. I know that's not what they said, but the way I was treated by the doctor who seemed way too busy to see me or hear me (after I waited an hour to see him, and after spending an arm and a leg to get stupid scans done that don't give me any real answers- which he asked me to do) just really got to me today. I feel like I'm back to square one, after wasting so much money and time on trying to understand why I am in this much pain. I am young, I'm generally healthy... So how can there possibly be no cause. :(

@WaterLily16 Aww Lily m so sorry to hear of your spinal woes. I have them too and know exactly what yer going through there. I saw so many Orthopedic, Physiologists, Pain Specialists, Spine Specialists (whom admitted they really know little of the spine in the end lol), and Neurologists. Basically alle of them. There are so many unknown variables, and every single person is different. The two things as have helped me best in pain management and mobility is Yoga, and keeping a positive mindset. I have been going through much woe too lately. Enough is enough! Time for us both to look towards a Bright New Day! We can fill our hearts with woe or we can revel in the grace of the little things around us that bring hope and joy. Much Love my Friend smiley

@Raveninthelabrynth I feel you! I have flat back syndrome and scoliosis. I remember how angry I was when my physio therapist told me she basically doesn't know shit about it.

@Raveninthelabrynth

Thank you Raven. Id just like for someone to tell me whats going on and offer a solution. Ive been in so much pain, and its really hard to function and care for a very active baby like this. Plus my husbands been away this past week so its just made it worst. Its affecting my sleep (which I get very little of nowadays) and I kinda feel like Im at breaking point now.

@WaterLily16 Children will make you feel so worn on their own hon lol. Well, even if I was a Dr. I couldn't give any medical advice here, But I can and will say that often Meditation and Yoga is the best and only effective thing we can do. Be very mindful of your posture too, that helps alle in the long run. So sorry for your suffering.

I know this too shall eventually pass, as do all things, just right now it really sucks.

Im going to see a physio and take the prescribed meds and see how that goes. I guess those can only help!

Im too hyperactive to sit down in a yoga class, I have to move so maybe Ill join a gym to strengthen my back muscles or something like that. I have to wait to get some energy back as right now Im way too exhausted to even leave my house.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and support <3

@WaterLily16 Im so sorry to hear youre still struggling with significant back pain! This is something Ive also had problems with. Yoga has also helped me with strengthening my muscles and core, along with meds when having severe spasms. I get weekly massages and attend Physio regularly and my physiotherapist does IMS on me. I was super hesitant to try this but it has actually really helped me! I have minor scoliosis in my mid back which has caused deformities in my sternum. This causes me to have significant problems in my lower back frequently with lots of SI sprains and severe pain in my lower joint / disc areas as Im hyper mobile every where other than my mid - upper back. IMS is the western version of acupuncture- it creates small injuries in the muscles and nerves , motivating accelerated healing to those areas. Its evidence based with lots of research backing it. I might not have explained it the best but it has been a life saver for me and possibly something for you to look into or ask about? I suppose it would depend whats going on for you as well as the skill set of your physiotherapist also anyways (and what youre willing to try).

Sending you big hugs! Juggling a babe and managing pain and sleep without support from your husband is a huge load to be carrying. I hope youre able to get some answers and relief soon ❤️

@WaterLily16

Hello their WaterLily:

I have scoliosis in my back to some form of birth defect according to doctors. I also suffer from stenosis of the spine which also caused sciatica in my legs. They kept saying surgery but I refused it. It causes a lot of pain.

However, I saw this commercial on tv for what is called a Tweeter. I ordered it made three payments. The thing is great. it inverts your body to various angels going downward where the gravity forces your spine to move so you get instant relief. No more shots and no surgery.

I love my Tweeter. Hope this is something that can help you.

I'm SO sorry. I TOTALLY understand your frustration. Exactly my experience with doctors for my own issues. I finally found a functional medicine doctor to help me.... Maybe try seeking alternative health care. But be careful about it -- find someone reputable if you do. Hugs. You are not crazy. (That's what my functional medicine doctor told me).

I can't wait until it's warm enough to swim. I won't be able to go to the local pool as there will be people there that I really don't want to meet (aka those a*****es who are responsible for my trauma), but there is a small lake not too far away so I will go there. It's only an hour away by bike and I don't need to worry about the people there :)

@conscientiousPineapple1782 Well hon it is not an easy thing to do, and it's different for everyone. The raw basics are the same though, we must make some kind of peace with our doom, and strengthen and focus on the good things we have and are. Simple, never easy. Hugs, it's wonderful to see you today! smiley

Hey everyone!

My worries for this season already started today- tonight my abuser is going to confront me and I am completely scared and dont know how to gain confidence for talking to him.

I hope that this season will still be a season without him and that he wont get into my life again after I did so well the last months.

Have an amazing day!

@dynamicHemlock1736 No worries hon, easier for to read wink

Confronting an abuser? Is this on their terms or YOURS?

There is nothing that says you have to listen, there is nothing that says you have to do it alone either.

This is YOUR life! You can control this situation just by saying "No I don't wish to see you please go away, this conversation is over good day".

You Really DO control this, you just have to claim that fact. Good luck however it goes down or doesn't. We're alle here for you too smiley

Raven~ How exciting to hear of the new baby kittens! What a joy that must besmiley

As for me, I woke up this morning to some sunshine in my face. The last weeks have been rainy and gloomy so it was a nice change except for the fact that the darkness has been hiding all the dust. So I have been busy tidying up which has brought my spirits up a bit as it always feels better when everything is in order. As for my numbness and spacey feelings I am still trying to get beyond this....
