Traumatic Experiences Community Daily CheckIn - Monday 27th February 2017
Hope your all doing good out there!!! What's going on for you, hows life treating you? Healing from traumatic experiences is hard going, its hard work and it can be very much a rollercoaster of a journey. Sometimes you may even question why you are bothering, is it worth it. YES, it is! Because your worth it. Its important to always look after yourself and your needs and to take time out for you and practise some self care when needed. How have you been managing to show a little TLC to yourselves recently? This space is yours, to share whats happening in your world, to say Hi, to let us know if you need some extra support, to share the good days, bad days and inbetween days. This is a safe and supportive daily checkin space for our members.

I'm actually doing really well right now. It won't last long cuz I'm gonna ruin it in therapy tomorrow, but it was nice while it lasted 🙃
@BeeLeigh How did therapy go lol??
@dancingRainbow45
Well, it was supposed to be in about 45mins, but it's storming really bad here so I moved it and now it's tomorrow at 2. So I have to come back to work afterward but it was either that or Friday and I don't wanna wait til Friday 🤷🏼♀️
@dancingRainbow45
Nvm her 6pm spot just opened so she asked if I wanted it so now it's at 6pm tomorrow lol
@BeeLeigh Good luck tomorrow then Bee :) Am sure you will be fine and go with an open mind and take from it what helps you

I'm doing really well so I plan on talking about things that will probably turn that around and I'll crash. But I'm able to talk about them right now and when I've already crashed I'm not able to, and we haven't really talked about anything the last few weeks cuz I haven't been able to. So I want to make this happen because idk if I'll be able to talk about anything next week 🤷🏼♀️
I am struggling to just be, I am depressed, anxious and angry, my situation I live in isn't helping me any, I feel like I don't matter most days, because no one helps me do anything, chronic pain , fatigue keeps me from doing much and my husband works 12 hr shifts and drives an hr to and from work, I am trying to see a positive, but I can't, !
@jr50 Living with chronic pain and fatigue can be so debilitating and very often when someone is living with pain, this does take its toll emotionally and psychologically. Would you say that your emotional wellbeing can be very linked to how your physical health is? How do you manage to deal with the chronic pain and fatigue you experience? Hang in there,. we may not be able to take this from you but knowing there are people who supporting you, behind you may help you feel less alone? What are you finding hard about your living conditions currently and is there anything in the pipeline to change this for you?
@dancingRainbow45. Yes I would say that they are linked because when my fatigue and pain are at the worst my anxiety and depression are too, I have hard time living in a house that belongs to an older woman, 88 yrs old, she needs constant care, and have 2 young children, I have hard enough time caring for myself at times, we are in this situation because my husband made very bad financial choices. Which I didn't know till too late, I am trying to get myself stable to be independent with my kids, my husband is very emotional abusive and I believe a narcissistic person, so I am struggling to get myself stable. But it is like a roller coaster ride, I never when my next crash is happening, then for weeks I barely function, but 7 cups keeps me from hitting bottom
I'm doing ok! I've had a crazy two weeks all leading up to today. I had a big audition. I was so nervous. I doubt I got in. But there's a small chance! But now I feel very down??? Is this weird? It's like I crashed!? It was so hard and overwhelming but also amazing!!! I just want to get in and it's really hard to get accepted!!!! So I guess I'm feeling confused as to why I'm feeling a million things all at once.
@KLM3278 I think sometimes if you find your weeks have been 'crazy' or busy after they settle down its not uncommon to dip a little. Life is very much a mix of good days, bad days and inbetween days. On the days when things feel tougher, just remind yourself gently perhaps that it will pass, the good days will come again and remember to look after yourself during this time. Be patient. be kind to you
@dancingRainbow45 Okay, thanks. I'm also beating myself up for things I know I have/had no control over! Why do I do that? No idea. I remember in the discussion about Triggers and I think that's maybe what happened also. But I will try and do what you said. Thanks.
I had a major meltdown at my therapist today. He said I just needed to let all the anxiety out. It's embearssing to just sit there and cry and not be able to say words. I'm home now and I do feel better then before. He told me to do soothing things for myself and stay warm. That is helping, I guess today is a bad day.
