Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check In - Sunday 14th May 2017
Another Sunday! Traditionally a day of rest, what are your plans for today? Many people now work Sundays, others will be spending time with family or friends, whilst others may feel it's a full time job just getting through the day. Healing from trauma can be hard work, but you're not alone, and there are people in this community who will share experiences and offer support. It doesn't have to be a solitary journey.
However you spend your Sunday, I wish you calm and peace of mind.

Ugh Mothers day, I feeling really depressed, non of step children, who are all adults now have ever even acknowledged me, so I am feeling bit bummed. My twins were like demon children today and I miss my daughter in the air force
@jr50
That's the downside of special days like Mother's Day. For those people for whom motherhood doesn't evoke happy memories, it can serve as a painful reminder of problems you may have faced or be facing. And in your case, it underlines how much you miss seeing your own daughter. But remember, it's just a random calendar day. Whilst it's held in May in the US, it's held in March in the UK. So whatever the hype, you're a mother every day, not just one Sunday in May. And whilst that may feel really stressful when your twins are behaving like demon children, I hope you also experience happy times with them, and get to appreciate the joy of being a mom :)
