Traumatic Experiences Community Daily Check-In Sunday June 17th 2018

Hej an Good Morning Alle! Ok what a busy week. Yep... still moving lol. It takes alot to move a farm by hand and hand cart, but we're almost done after 2 months. Yesterday we finished off fencing the new horse pasture (a project of forestry I believe it would be called). We rounded up our horse Sif, and brought her to her new home. Sif was very nervous to come out of her olde pasture and it took a good bit of encouragement, but she toughened up a bit and came with us. When we got her to the gate, I had to walk through the gate to show her it was safe, but she followed reluctantly. Once she was in we shut the gate and un-hooked her leader rope an let her go. Sif Reared up an howled and made a run through her new pasture (mostly wooded). We had to get near the fence at opposite ends of the pasture (I got up in a cool tree to keep out the way), and we had to alert her everytime she got near a fence. She was fierce and wild the way she ran about, truly a sight to behold. It was really fun helping her learn her new bounds, does this make me an Americanacht Cowgirl? She settled in once she saw she had food and water, and we let her chill for the rest of the day. This morning I awoke fierce to bad dreams, as I often do. As I went out to sing my prayers, I crept out silent. I snuck up on Sif as she was sleeping. Sif is a Morgan horse, Morgans are the kind of horse traditionally used by the U.S. Cavalry (still in use). Morgans are a bit unique in that they love to lay down and take naps (kinda looking dead if one isn't familliar). So anyways, I managed to sneak up on Sif whilst she was laying down, yep... Couldn't resist... BOO!!! lol. Yep m a jerk sometymes lol. Up Sif popped with a fierce whinney, and ran some laps to escape what she thought was a threat. As she calmed some, she realized it was me, then she came over (I was sooo laughing) and she expressed her dislike of being startled by bonking me with her head lol. After a few minutes more she got over her frustration, I began my prayers and she walked around her pasture with me for an hour an a half as I sang and sent my songs. An unpleasent start for me, and for Sif I guess (my bad), but as the Sun rose and the light and songs filled the woods it became a most peaceful morning for alle. Today was like taking a walk and greeting the day with a great friend.
