Hello Trauma Community!

How has your weekend been going so far? I hope you have had time to rest and recharge.

How are you feeling today? What color best describes how you are feeling?

Let's try a game with today's check-in. You may have seen the A-Z game done in other subcommunities throughout the site. I thought it might be fun to try and do A-Z of Self-Care!

Here's how it works: I will post a word that relates to self-care that starts with the letter A. The next person to post, posts a word relating to self-care the starts with the letter B. Then so on until we get to Z! Are you up for the challenge?

I'll start.

A is for Aromatherapy. Aromatherapy can be soothing and promote relaxation.

Some additional posts in the Trauma Community from this week to check-out:

- Have ideas for check-ins? Let us know here! Interested in helping out with daily check-ins? Please let me know!

- Your Recovery Support System. Fill in the blanks here!

- Consent: What is it? What isn't it?

Hi everyone. I haven't posted on here in a while...

I'm having a really tough time at the moment. There's a lot of conflict in my life, particularly at work, and I'm not coping with it very well. I got to the point on Friday of nearly crying in someone's office, which was incredibly unprofessional and also worried a lot of people. I haven't figured out how to deal with the backlash of that. I'm tyring to figure out if I need to go apologise to him. Or to some of the other people that got involved...

My coping mechanisms have deteriorated. I've been hurting myself for a couple of weeks. It's new and scary and confusing. And I don't really understand what is going on with me, so I don't know how to make it better. I've had people ask how they can help, and I've had to say that I don't know.

N for new things. Sometimes trying out something different might get you a new hobby that you could enjoy. New music, new genres, new styles, new sport, new foods, new places, new people even. Sometimes it could be scary to go to unfamiliar people or places, but it could save you if you tried different foods or activities.
