I've been out of my abusive relationship (with a narcissist) for over 4 years now. It was a traumatic experience that left me mentally ill. Every so often I look him up on social media and Google. I looked him up online again and found out new stuff about him/where he's located. I thought he was leading the life of a religious brother in another state but come to find out since last year he's been a theology teacher at a school in my town.

I feel like crying but not sure why. I doubt I'll run into him but knowing he's so close, when I thought he was so far away, is a little chilling/rattling. This is a man who abused me in so many ways including spiritual abuse. I feel so bad for those kids and the people who work with him. He likes to break rules at times so I don't think he'll last in this position. He never stays anywhere for too long, either he quits or gets fired.

I know I shouldn't look him up at all because it only makes me sad. I'm determined to not have this ruin my day, even though I am feeling more sadness than before. How can I stop looking him up? It is so difficult as I want to keep tabs on him and know where he is. But the reality is, the more I find out the worse I feel about myself.
