@PuppyLove13 Hi I am doing okay. Have been feeling lousy because my psychiatrist didn't refill my meds. I have to wait til tomorrow to hear back. Slept the whole day, but my migraines are still coming back. :(

TW: sexual assault

Broke up with this guy Chris last week. I'm really happy I did that, but the conversation we had was kind of triggering and keeps replaying. I'm trying to let it go, but the migraines and fatigue are making my mind more rattled. :(

I'm in contact with some new potential romantic interests, but it's stressing me out a bit, because I feel pestered/coerced by them, and I have anxiety around creating boundaries, because I've experienced abusive people who get mad. I really want to be in charge of my own romantic life, so I'm really frustrated/triggered by the fact that people are pressuring me. It makes me feel really unsafe and depressed, because like damn can people please learn consent and have some fucking respect.

Also I get triggered by anything that talks about sexuality as a joke or casual experience and words like "desire" and "pleasure" because part of my trauma was that I wanted a meaningful connection where I could feel loved, appreciated, warm, etc. and my perpetrator said things like "I want to make you feel good" that imposed a very casual sexuality on me in a violent way, and now when I hear peers talking about sexuality in that way or talking about how women should celebrate their pleasure or something, I just feel really mocked, belittled, alienated, shamed, etc or like I'm the only one who actually wants to feel loved. :( :(

@Daydreamer47 *so many hugs to you*

Sweetheart, I'm soo sorry you had to go through that.. I understand that you feel scared to set boundaries but won't not setting boundaries hurt you more? Because no matter what happens, you need to be able to respect yourself and love yourself right? :)

It is very easy to get triggered after what you've been through.. It's not easy to understand what others mean when they talk about the things that make you uncomfortable (Not mentioning it because I don't want my post to hurt you or trigger you <3).. But you're so strong and you're doing so well :) Just keep yourself safe and never be ashamed of anything because others haven't been through this pain and no one would survive it with as much dignity as you are :) <3 But please be safe! <3

@PuppyLove13 thank you <3 yes i am doing my best to set boundaries. when i say i'm scared, i mean i have anxiety. i am doing my best to hold firm and set them, i just get super nervous during the process. some days it's easier than others to push through that depending on how confident i'm feeling. :/
