Help change a law

@intergalacticpeach while I think this is a good endeavor, I'm not convinced that simply signing something online would actually make a change. Especially when, I think, laws like that are state- based, not handled by the white house government. For example, some states already removed the statute of limitations. You'd probably recieve more of a response if you focused on your own state and actually sent letters, gave statements during their meetings (I don't know what they're called :P), called them, etc. Actually talking to the people who could make a change with reasoned-out arguments, rather than just an online petition that essentially just says the law sucks. It does suck, but unfortunately I think they'd need a bit more convincing than that
I wouldn't say I am entirely convinced, but this specific petition is being sent to specific state representatives as well as ATTN to the white house. It's a step in the right direction, to be heard. There is a bit more detailed on the site itself, not just.. here sign lol I hope you consider signing with high hopes to make a change
