Hope

Today, 8/22/16, I broke free from my abuser. Yesterday, I had a panic attack that crippled me only because he messaged me. I lost myself but today, everything changed. After four years of torment, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm, and isolation, I am finally free. The scars will heal and I will recover. I will live on and when I was in the fall of last year, I nearly ended my life in a sad, rainy home in Rhode Island during vacation. I could have thrown away my chances. I could have given up but I didn't. Things get better and time will heal the wounds. Every second, you become more free, more powerful, more repaired. To anyone who has been abused or is being abused, it gets better. Believe me. I know how it feels to give up all hope.

@TheHoneyDoll - WOW! First of all, congratulations! I know that was a really hard thing to do, but you are so crazy strong, and I am incredibly proud of you. I think everything you've said here is so true - this is going to open up so many new paths for you, but most of all a chance to heal and be happy and free, and that's really amazing.

I imagine you might be having a lot of tough feelings in the next couple weeks as you adjust, so if you ever need to talk through it, you can always feel free to reach out to me or any other listener here.

Congratulations on breaking away, and best of luck in your new and freer life! :)
