I downloaded this app about a week ago and just now decided to open it. The only reason I'm using this app is because my friend said i need to find some help. My childhood trauma is something hard for me to talk about. I never address it and i never try to think about it because it's just too painful for me. But hopefully I can get some support and advice on how to heal and move on. Because I'm tired of letting it dictate my life.

@goodBanana4766.....I'm so sorry to see your having such a big struggle facing your past trauma. I understand I was in denial about my severe childhood abuse for 50 years. I can say that it took so long because of fear and the pain of dealing with it. I started professional therapy 3 years ago and I've made alot of progress. It's been very rough, pretty ugly and unbelievably traumatic but I'm better -totally worth asking for help. I'm able to admit outloud how bad it was ( just to my closest ppl).. took me a long time. I found ways to cope and outlets for anxiety. I really love 7cups because everyone here has been so incredibly supportive and reliable. I needed more help and that's how I came to this forum. You can be so proud of yourself for taking this leap of faith in reaching out for help. I know how hard that is. You can look at it as a gift of self care for yourself...I'm around here alot if you need an ear. 💜ABB
