My story
Trigger warning Abuse Self Harm Suicide
So I’m really depressed and I thought asking for help would work so if you don’t mind I would really like to share my story
so I was born into a okay family for the first two years of my life was okay but then it got worse as my grandparents kept fighting and so did my mum and dad and my granddad is a alcoholic but not much but it can affect his mood . When I was six my sister was born and things were nice . I thrived academically but struggles with social blues and conversations
I was bullied throughout primary and by the age of seven I lost all my friends in year 2 my parents didn’t help and told me to study so I would get into a good school. By the age of 9 I started 11+ tutoring for two years and passed the 11+ I got into a good school but by the time of year seven things were going downhill and my whole house was chaos and so loud with so much screaming I also was in the habit of listening to music and reading fanfic but my parents found out and everything what chaos. I also started self harm and when my parents found out it was *** and I wanted to die so badly
then I was talking to a friend in school in year 8 telling him how I thought I was being abused over text and when my mum saw she and my dad almost killed my they threatened to kick me out and put 1 minute of communication on messages which is my only source of communication.
And now I’m here depressed and still being hurt
thanks for listening I guess

Thank you for sharing! It sounds like you're struggling with a variety of home issues, but I'm glad that you're taking steps to share to make yourself feel better. Struggling with family can be very difficult, and them limiting social contact is especially rough.
I struggled with self harm around that year as well, and I often did listen to music and read fanfiction to help distract myself. While there's not a lot you can do to change your circumstances immediately, remembering you're not alone and that you're worthy of good treatment is important. Talking to people at school and finding activities you like engaging in that you're allowed to do is really important. Drawing or writing are a common hobby for people struggling with this kind of issue. Self-compassion is difficult to learn, but finding ways to support and soothe yourself without hurting yourself goes a long way.
Again, thank you for sharing!

i would say school is kinda a safe place but I have been called out of PE by the safeguarding leader all because I asked my tutor about if what me parents do to me is abuse but I didn’t actually say they did I said like a story and now I’m absolutely petrified of them
