Dear Readers,

This post is inspired by @sincereLake2100 and their request for more support directed at educators and nurses!

Certainly, we can all agree that we have come to revere our teachers and healthcare workers by recognizing that their jobs have become difficult, dangerous, and often underpaid. Furthermore, their challenges are unique making a shared safe space all the more important. I like to think that this interest group is supported by progressive mental health initiatives, although that may not always be the case.

Discussion Points:

Have you ever faced trauma in your own profession?

What are some challenges that present day educators face?

Are healthcare providers given enough mental health support?

What do you wish the general public understood about educators and healthcare workers?

What do you find to be the most helpful thing the parent of a child in your care can do?

I look forward to providing a forum to promote community, conversation and shared resources.

Thank you for being here! ❤️
