I’m 34, and have 4 kids.

a typical 6 year old

twin special needs and medically fragile 5 year olds

and a 11 month old.

This was not expected or planned. I’m not on birth control as I’m a cancer survivor. My husband is 100% siding with whatever i choose. He is also getting snipped. I don’t want to even think about sex anymore. I feel so guilty, stupid, and sad.

financially emotionally mentally and probably physically I can not have another pregnancy. I am super super early on and will be taking the pill form I found to be shipped to me at my home.

im worried it’ll hurt or it won’t work and then I’ll end up getting the other procedure.

I feel stupid that I thought using my period tracker and didn’t have sex around when I typically ovulate but I guess nothing is 100%. I just feel guilty because if we were millionaires and I had access to childcare and extra help at home then this wouldn’t even being said. But that’s not the case. We had a miracle surprise 4th baby last year and we decided that it was the completion of our family. I did not get my tubes tied during my c section because I was so scared it would cause me more pain and I wouldn’t be able to heal faster to be present with the other kids. My husband and I had been fine since March. Everything was on track routine. I have no idea what happened other than my hormones and or stress led me to ovulate later or earlier than I thought.

this is just hard and I do not want my family or friends to know.

@forevermore90 I'm sorry this is weighing so hard on you. No one has the right to judge you, the choice is entirely your own, and even if you feel sad and hurt you have nothing to beat yourself up about. These are things that happen in life, you are doing the best you can in a hard situation, for yourself and your family. And you don't owe an explanation to anyone: if you want to keep this between you and your husband, the choice is yours.
As for the procedure itself, make sure to get any support you feel you might need, if you take the pill within a certain time there's no reason why it shouldn't work. The pain is subjective, but most women compare it to a stronger version of regular menstrual cramps.
You're stronger than you think and you're doing the best you can. I wish you the best.
