basically, my dad was yelling at my mother and cursing get her and it was not first time but I told him that it’s not right thing to curse your wife it’s very wrong. I told him that but he continued and I didn’t like it so I was like I was dead serious. I told him that if you curse my mother out again, I will curse yours and then he thought that I was not serious at all. I know I shouldn’t have done that, but I cursed out his mother I know I shouldn’t have done that, but at the moment he heard that he started to hit me. He was hitting me so hard that I ran across the room every time he hits me I’m going there and always kneeling down and always covering myself so I won’t get hit too hard, but he was kicking me with his Feet and of course it was hurtful but sometime past and I’ve realized that there is this one big question am I the problem or is HE the problem?

I would be grateful if you guys would answer my question, I need answer.💙

He shouldn't have cursed at your mom especially infront of his child(no matter what the age is). You also shouldn't curse but I can understand that you were triggered and it caused you to curse. But your father shouldn't have beaten you. Ik what you did was wrong but your reaction was because of his actions.

So he is the problem.

And also, every child deserves to see their parents in a healthy realtionship. And no child deserves to be abused like this. Beating is not acceptable...

@Nini888 I'm so sorry you went through this, this is litterally domestic abuse. A father should never hurt his child like that. Being under the influence of such a violent man must be terrible, I'm sorry for both you and your mother.
Of course you're not the problem. You were trying to stand up for your mother and you got beaten as a result, he's obviously the problem, and a big one. If I were you, I'd probably be looking up for resources for domestic abuse in my area. This is unfortunately likely to happen again.
