Anyone else find there trauma gets involved in every aspect of their life’s ?. I am struggling majorly but I to have my first counselling session tomorrow I am so scared.

I feel that because of the trauma I have lost trust issues. Especially to males I can’t so it.

It's so brave of you to do your counciling session.  I bet it will work out well, you just got to stay focused. 🌲

That’s because I’ve hit rock bottom. Last 18 months had been full on. Last 2 weeks I’ve majorly struggled with relationships with friends, myself I hate myself the way I look and the esh I can’t process stuff and my head is scrambled

@Kayles96 You may feel somewhat worse at first as you address some issues directly, but you might also find it immediately empowering. Just try to remember you are reacting to the past experiences and not to what is happening in real time. It is hard to trust but can be done as slow and meticulously as you like. You'll do great. Good luck.

Sorry to hear you are struggling. I have been there too, so I understand your concerns. That's wonderful that you have a counseling session scheduled!

The fact that you want to find peace and healing is your first step. Myself I definitely benefitted from therapy ( about 1.5 years).

I have learned a lot, but I'm also realistic and understand healing takes time.

You can do it! Blessings for your therapy sessions.

I would be nervous about sharing and being vulnerable too, it's not my favourite thing, but you are trying to help yourself to cope better and that's a brave thing to do.

I would straight up admit it to the counsellor, this is my first time, I'm really anxious, I'm not sure how this will go, can you reassure me and take it slow :)

Also it's not surprising to question if people/males are trustworthy, the brain is just hyper aware of potential dangers, so give it time and don't pressure yourself to be over it, feel how you feel :)

Yes it does. It also gets better and better when we openly talk about it from my limited experience. I mean I still have trust issues around males. A community definitely helps.
