It is really hard to sit beside the man you once loved (even in a situationship setup that was close to becoming an official relationship) who micro-cheated, whom you forgave multiple times, and who still looks at women who are physically desirable and attractive.

It is hard in the sense that I am still the one who needs to adjust, while he just sits there living as if nothing happened—as if the betrayal never occurred.

And now, he is showing signs of being concerned about me after almost a year of being blocked on all social media platforms.

I have already experienced a lot of trauma and abuse, and then this guy added to it after I poured all my trust into him.

I am delighted that I chose myself this time and cut him off even if his family were up against me.

Im so happy you choose yourself, its equally as important to protect your peace and happiness as it is to try and make things work. You deserve to treat yourself as you should be loved and respected - it can be so hard to see the little things knowing they dont notice or seem to care after they have hurt you multiple times. Pushing past little (or big) things someone has done to you can be so hard but in the end its amazing you choose yourself and knew your boundaries.
