In every area of your life, for whatever reason you struggle, youtube videos, blogs and people on Pinterest will tell you to GO TO THERAPY.

But ... What if it doesn't work? What if therapists don't understand you? Each time I came, my trauma felt too big for them. As if what I lived was unimaginable, even for them. It's because their goal is to create a good relationship with my family. Which is impossible, and time waster. So is it the only solution to heal? Can you heal with youtube videos as help, and yourself? It's harder every day, and I want to believe that I can heal without therapy. There must be solutions ! And why is everyone always repeating the same stuff? There must be other ways!

@oliveSailboat9838 I'm sorry that your attempts at therapy ended this way. And this is a common situation, unfortunately. Many people cannot find a suitable therapist, because each of them, no matter how hard they try, is subjective and limited in some way. Therefore, it probably makes sense to search further, but still focus on your personal history, that is, try to find a therapist in this area. As for self-medication, I think I will not be mistaken in saying that this is generally a real path, especially when there is no other. But it requires effort, awareness, reflection. The point is that you need to find the original source of your problems. If it is a trauma, then analyze it as much as possible and try to understand what feelings were hurt, which were blocked and what defense mechanisms appeared. Are they necessary, or are they far-fetched as a result. But this is the most difficult thing. Very few can once again remember and adequately analyze their trauma, incorrect patterns, emotions. It is painful. If you are up for it - there are many initial tutorials that go deep into the issues. BUT you can also try to get support here in the chats. And maybe it will make things a little easier for you. Good luck!

Thank you for your advice ! I'm currently trying to find things I've written and ancient objects for every year of my life, to try understanding it better. As for medication, I'm scared to do do because I don't wanna become addicted to it. Also, the part of my life I really need therapy for is to cure from addictions, so I considered avoiding talking about the deepest things of my trauma to therapists, but I realized I need to adress it to fix these addictions.
