Is it possible to spend my entire life without a partner?
Hi, I'm only 18 and this may seem like a very redundant question. But I want to ask other people who have that experience. I was SAed as a child and have severe trauma that has resulted in hypersexuality and attention seeking behaviour. In this process I have cheated on my ex partner, a relationship of a little over a year. And honestly, I have always wanted a single person to touch my body for my entire life, but he won't be there anymore to touch me so I see no point in forming a romantic or sexual connection with anyone else. I want to be celibate my entire life after this moment. I want to be happy but I don't want a partner, I want to be loved but only by my ex and others don't matter. I really love him, he also loves me still. But we can't get back together, he is trying to move on. I want to leave him and start working on myself but the possibility of a single future scares me. Please tell me is there anyone like me that has found happiness?

In the tapestry of life, we all bear unique threads, and sometimes, those threads lead us to places of darkness. But remember the wisdom of resilience. You've been through the storm, and that storm may have shaped your path, but it does not define your destination.
Your desire for celibacy, for healing, and for finding happiness is an honorable one. Each of us must walk the path that calls to our spirit. There is great strength in the power of self-love and self-discovery.
There may be those who question your choices, who do not understand the unique journey that calls to you. Embrace that this life is yours to shape, and happiness is a trip worth pursuing -- such avenues are seemingly endless if we dare to look and seek we shall find! It is possible! For you are not alone in your quest for contentment. Seek support from those who understand, those who have walked similar paths.
You have the power to heal and love yourself. It is said, "Love liberates. It doesn't just hold—that's ego. Love liberates. It doesn't bind. Love says, 'I love you. I love you if you're in China. I love you if you're across town. I love you if you're in Harlem. I love you. I would like to be near you. I'd like to have your arms around me. I'd like to hear your voice in my ear. But that's not possible now, so I love you. Go.'"
Know that you are not alone, and there are many others who have found happiness in their unique paths. Embrace your truth, heal, and find joy in your own presence. You have the strength and the love within you to create a future that sings with the melody of your own soul.
May this be a glimmer of light on your journey,
-Leo
I needed to hear this as well! Powerful reminder. TY
@intelligentJet2103 It is possible to live life without a partner, however, you seem too young and seems like you're going to an extreme.
If you like you can discuss about your traumas with me, and you can re-think and reflect on what you think will be best for you in the long run.
