PTSD & Stalker Problem...
I didn't want to mesh this topic with another thread I wrote not too long ago, as it's a separate issue so...
I just wanted to mention that I have been dealing with a stalker problem from a former friend, who...Let's call her **Mickey.
**Not real name
Every so often, this "friend" would come by and knock at my door.
She also stalked me at one of my DV support groups online to the time that I go to (I introduced them to it, they used to never go, then they went at a different time, and suddenly would look for me there, so I stopped going).
The reason I don't want to be friends with Mickey is due to some unsavory traits they have...
She drinks and drives, along with smoking MJ around my son when I requested many times NOT to.
She steals from stores "just because" as well as constantly litter ( I find that habit gross).
She is petty too and destroyed her ex girlfriend's things along with tracking them on the phone --albeit the ex WAS physically and verbally abusive, I don't think...It's good to do similar behaviour back towards them. It's seems...wrong to me.
She has multiple girlfriends and is emotionally cheating on her current girlfriend by talking to her flings, and when she asks for advice, she never heads my advice at all (why even ask?...).
She always ends up in toxic relationships herself, and I can't always help pull her out...
She has been rude to me with some comments she made as well.
I don't want to be her friend and slowly "ghosted" her...She can be a petty person, so a little wary of this person.
I've dealt with creepy stalkers in the past, and some wanted to hurt me (my ex-fiancé who nearly made me unalive, and someone I dated briefly who has violent tendencies and always "finds me", that's why I don't go outside anymore, I have extreme agoraphobia that I might get unalived by certain people. Already have a restraining order against ex, but the police didn't do anything, and last time he nearly ended me, they took 3 HOURS to come help me while I was scared...)
So anyways lol....
I wonder if I should text her firmly and tell her I'm going through some things and don't have time to hangout anymore.
Yesterday, she came to my house, opened my iron-gated door and knocked on the wooden door several times. I locked my wooden door sensing some panic, and thought maybe the doorknob was being jangled?? It was weird... Then I heard knocks on the front window, peeked out the peephole and saw her pacing around. Then I walked over to the bedroom to get away from the sounds, only for her to knock on the back windows...
It creeped me the *** out!
Why not CALL or TEXT???
Do people not do that before they stop by??
I hate it.
The only person ALLOWED to drop in at anytime is my (long distance) partner who has my spare key AND he NEVER randomly stops by. He ALWAYS calls and texts me ahead of time to advise -- which is nice because it gives me time to clean the house.
But anyways...
Now I NEVER answer the door, in fear of creepy stalkers who may have found my address or rude people (like a brother of mine or that former friend) who show up unannounced and knock loudly, intruding in my space without a call nor text.
I planned on moving at the end of this year to a different state/city, but...Due to my chronic pain and disability issues, I don't know if I can move out of state...may be able to move out of the city at the very least or live on the opposite side of town away from the creepy stalkers so they don't know my address.
I plan on investing in cameras, getting guard dogs, (legal) weapons, and making sure I have a private and secure fence to keep people away and out... I used to do martial arts and could fight, but can no longer do self-defense due to my disability. I'm not as strong as I used to be anymore.
What would you do in this situation?...Or have you dealt with something similar before?
@ImpudentIncognito yes set up lots and cameras and security. Bless you 😞 gives you a giant tiny hug ❤
@Tinywhisper11 I definitely plan to set up some cameras once the tax money comes through...Usually, I feel safe when my partner is here, but we're long distance and his car needs a repair. We're both dealing with some financial stuff that is temporary. He's working towards his CDL license and I'm working towards my real estate license but...There are some obstacles in our way. 😞 We're getting it sorted out soon though and should be OK. We're just waiting on our money to come in based on certain circumstances.
Not sure if I should text that "friend" to leave me alone, or just ignore it -- since I plan on moving out anyways. They won't know where I will be, luckily.
Anyways, thank you for your support and kind words. 🫂
@ImpudentIncognito probably ignore and keep reporting to the police! Hugs you tightly ❤
