Rough spot.
I have been in therapy twice a week for a little over a year now. Here lately, we have been doing emdr and it feels as if it gets harder each session. The memories and flashbacks are taking a toll. I grew up in a very abusive household and have cptsd from it. I cut off my family because they are horrible people and I don't have any friends because I got tired replacing *** people with other *** people. The world has become very untrustworthy and I feel as if I can't relate to others. Idk, everything is so complicated.
“I know this was posted a few days ago, but I wanted to say I hear how exhausting all of this must be for you. If you feel like sharing, I’d love to hear what even small things help you get through the tough moments.”

Hey Tay, we were on the community discussion. I just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you, and take care. Poems sometimes help me feel less alone, I wanted to share one with you. It is kind of bleak, but this one always makes me feel less alone: https://poets.org/poem/starling
And here is a more uplifting one: https://allpoetry.com/poem/15374223-Wild-geese-by-Mary-J-Oliver
Take care, tay.
@Tayy2295 Hello Tayy! I am happy to listen to you and offer a non-judgmental space 🌌
I just did a PTSD assessment and my therapist said it showed that I could have PTSD
