Trauma comes in many forms

Trauma can come from so many places — childhood, relationships, loss, abuse, accidents — and its impact can linger in ways others might not see. Sometimes it shows up as anxiety, trust issues, numbness, anger, or even physical symptoms. And often, it makes us feel broken or “too much.”

But here's the truth: you're not broken. You're a survivor.

Healing from trauma is messy. It’s not linear. Some days it feels like progress, other days like you’re back at square one — and that’s okay. Every step you take to understand your pain, set boundaries, or even just survive the day, is healing.

You don’t have to have all the answers. You don’t need to explain your trauma to be worthy of compassion. You’re allowed to take up space, to feel, to rest, to be.

If you’re struggling, please know you’re not alone. There’s no shame in needing help, whether through therapy, support groups, or simply being here and talking with others who get it.

Let this be a reminder: your story matters, your feelings are valid, and healing is possible.

Sending care to anyone who needs it today
